Terms of Use

Plain terms for a free set of browser tools. Use them for anything lawful; keep your own backups; we provide them as they are.

1. Accepting these terms

By using My Gadgets you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

2. What we provide

My Gadgets is a collection of free utilities that run in your web browser. No account is required, there is no charge, and we make no commitment that any particular tool will remain available. Tools may be added, changed, or removed at any time.

3. Acceptable use

You may use the tools for personal or commercial purposes. You may not:

• Use them to process content you have no legal right to process.
• Use them to break the law, infringe copyright, or violate anyone's privacy.
• Attempt to disrupt the site, or scrape or overload it with automated traffic.
• Republish the site as your own service, or strip out attribution and pass it off as yours.

Because processing happens on your device, you are solely responsible for the content you run through these tools and for the results you produce.

4. Your files and your backups

Your files stay on your device — we never receive them and therefore cannot recover anything. Some tools change files irreversibly: they compress, crop, strip metadata, encrypt, or overwrite. Keep a copy of any original you cannot afford to lose before you process it.

Encryption tools deserve particular care: if you lose the password you used, the encrypted file cannot be recovered by us or by anyone else.

5. Provided "as is"

The tools are provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that a tool is error-free, that output will be accurate or complete, or that the site will be uninterrupted.

Output should be checked before you rely on it for anything important. Nothing on this site is legal, financial, medical, or professional advice — that includes the results of calculators and converters.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, files, profits, or business, arising from your use of or inability to use the site. Since the service is free, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us for it.

7. Third-party content

The site displays ads and loads open-source libraries from third parties, and links to external sites such as Ko-fi. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. How data flows to them is described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual property

The My Gadgets name, design, and site code belong to us. The open-source libraries the tools rely on remain the property of their respective authors and are used under their own licences. Anything you create with the tools is yours; we claim no rights over your files or output.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site changes. Continuing to use My Gadgets after an update means you accept the revised terms.
