Compress an image to 100 KB
Add one or more images below; the target is already set to 100 KB. Each image gets the highest quality that fits, and is only made smaller in pixels if it has to be.

What 100 KB is enough for
- A profile or ID photo on a job site or a form: plenty, even at 1000 pixels across.
- A photo on a web page or in a document: about 1200 pixels wide fits at a quality where nobody sees the difference on screen.
- A full-size phone photo (4000 pixels or more): it will fit only after being made smaller. The tool does that for you, or you can set the size yourself under Resize.
Several images at once
Choose many images together and the target applies to each of them: every file comes out under 100 KB, and you can save them all in one ZIP.
Which format to pick
JPG works everywhere and suits photos. WebP is smaller again at the same quality but some older forms refuse it. PNG suits screenshots and logos, but has no quality setting, so it reaches 100 KB only by becoming smaller.
Frequently asked questions
Why did my image get smaller in pixels?
Because even the lowest quality at its original size was over 100 KB. The note under the result tells you the size it chose; set a smaller size yourself under Resize if you prefer another trade-off.
Can I aim for 150 KB or 2 MB instead?
Yes, type any number of kilobytes into Target size.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Everything runs in your browser.
